Body found in National Hockey Centre car park

THE body of a man has been found in the car park of Glasgow’s National Hockey Centre.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was found inside a car within the car park of the Centre, near Glasgow Green.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 12.40am this morning the body of a man was found in a car within the car park at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre in King’s Drive, Glasgow.

“At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be held in due course.

“The man has still to be formally identified.”

In a statement, the National Hockey Centre said: “Glasgow National Hockey Centre has been closed all day due to a police incident. “

The Centre was designed and built for next year’s Commonwealth Games in the city.
