It was another aspect of a hugely disappointing day for the defending champions.

Celtic lost 1-0 at Ibrox, pushing their rivals 19 points ahead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Jullien’s replacement Nir Bitton was shown a red card around the hour mark after bringing down Alfredo Morelos which changed the game.

Callum McGregor scored an own goal not long after.

Jullien sustained the injury during the midweek win over Dundee United after colliding with the post.

"He is a very important player for us but it is a bad injury and we are going to lose him for quite a period of time – maybe three or four months,” Lennon told Sky Sports.

"On the eve of this game, it is a bit of a hammer blow for us really."
