New police cells to be built in Aberdeen

GRAMPIAN Police yesterday announced plans to build a new Criminal Justice Centre, including 60 custody cells, in the Kittybrewster area of Aberdeen.

The multi-million pound development will replace the ageing cells at the force’s Queen Street headquarters. It is being planned for the former Scottish Water site on Great Northern Road.
