Keats's love letter sells for £96,000

A LOVE letter sent by John Keats a year before he died has fetched a record £96,000 at auction in London.

The poet penned the letter to his lover Fanny Brawne in 1820, before his death in Rome at the age of 25 from TB.

She lived next door to Keats in Hampstead, London, but their love was never consummated because of the poet's illness.
