Josh Littlejohn also set up the annual Scottish Business Awards – which last night saw Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio deliver the keynote speech – and will use his InnovationNation talk on 5 December to discuss his ambition to end homelessness across the country.

He said: “Social Bite and our other various ventures are about what we describe as the ‘social business’, where strategy and aims are not around the more traditional purposes in enterprise of making money but rather to solve social challenges – of which homelessness in this city and Scotland as a whole is a massive issue for us all.”

Registration for the lecture is free and donations can be made on the evening for Social Bite’s projects.

EICC chief executive Marshall Dallas added: “InnovationNation is all about presenting the best of innovation coming out of Scotland in the 21st century and when it comes to social businesses, Josh Littlejohn and Social Bite are at the vanguard.

“We would like as many people as possible to come along to the EICC on the night to hear more about what we can do to help eradicate one of the big social issues we have in this country in 2016.”

Dallas and Littlejohn will be joined by more than a hundred other Scottish business leaders in the Social Bite-run CEO Sleepout in Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, on Thursday 15 December.
