FACT FILE: Dunstaffnage

Another gem on Scotland's independent festival circuit, Dunstaffnage has got the bands, the atmosphere - and the sunsets - to make for a memorable weekend.

WHAT?

What started as a birthday party in 1992 has gently grown into a two-day event with a thoroughly intimate feel. This year five stages will showcase new bands, reggae, folk, Celtic, electronic, funk, soul, jazz, dance, and even film and comedy, from noon till 1am.

WHEN?

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July

WHERE?

The festival site sits on the shore 1.5 miles outside the town of Oban, by Dunstaffnage Castle.

Adult: 60

Under 18s: 40

Family: 130 (2 x Adult + 1 Under 18) + (30 each aditional under 18) - proof of age required.

12 and under: FREE

CAMPING?

Camping is free with ticket.

GETTING THERE?

Oban is easy to get to by rail, with a regular service from Glasgow.
