Call to protect sea area around islands

THE government is being
urged to make the waters around the Pitcairn Islands
into the world’s biggest
“no-take” marine reserve.

The protected area proposed for the seas surrounding the remote Pacific island, where the Bounty mutineers settled and which is a UK Overseas Territory, would be three times the size of Great Britain.
