Water walk is for everyone

THE Water of Leith Conservation Trust has organised a sponsored walk this weekend.

The walk along the Water of Leith Walkway, starts in Balerno at 10am on Sunday, July 24.

Organiser Helen Brown said: "Many residents of Edinburgh know sections of the Water of Leith but how many have walked the whole thing? At over 12 miles the walk is a challenge, but following a river means it is all downhill and you have Leith to look forward to."

Walkers will need to register with the Water of Leith Conservation Trust before the event to receive an information pack and number. There is a 10 registration fee, but collect sponsorship and youi walk for free. To register, e-mail [email protected] or call 0131-455 7367.
