Call for decision on new Firrhill health centre plan

A MEETING will take place next month to discuss plans for a community health centre delayed for four years.

Residents in Firrhill want to know if a new health and social care centre is going to be built in the area.

The 3.5 million facility was supposed to have opened long ago but funding changes affecting NHS Lothian and the council have put plans on ice.

The council said it was committed to the project and that officials have often demanded answers on timescales from the Scottish Government.
