Letter: Unionist system

Alexander McKay (Letters, 29 September) attacks the SNP and the Holyrood Parliament's list system. He must know that the list system was decided on by the Unionist parties, including Labour, possibly with the intention of making things difficult for the SNP. The SNP uses the system devised by others.

Of course the system has faults - it will probably be revised and improved once Scottish sovereignty is regained.
