The Tayside Division of Police Scotland launched a major manhunt last week after three hooded men - two reported to be carrying weapons - were involved in two connected incidents in Balbeggie Street in the Douglas area of the city.

The first incident happened at 6.30pm last Wednesday night when a car and the window of a home in Balbeggie Street were damaged by three men. They had emerged from what is believed to be a dark-coloured car Vauxhall Vectra being driven by another man and run to a nearby address to bang on the front door. They then vandalised a car parked on the street, breaking its windows, and threw an object at a window of the house, smashing the glass. All three wore dark-coloured hooded tops with the hoods up.

He is currently assisting with enquiries.”

He continued: “Detective officers are still seeking two other suspects in connection with the incidents and they are advised to hand themselves in without delay. Enquiries are continuing in the Douglas area and across Dundee, as well as anywhere else that information and intelligence dictates.”

Police Scotland announced this afternoon that two further arrests had been made.
