Armando Iannuci in the thick of it with tweet leak

SCOTTISH TV producer Armando Iannucci has admitted he accidentally leaked a show about leaking.

An episode of the hit political comedy The Thick Of It was made available to fans weeks early by mistake. Iannucci revealed he had Tweeted a link to what he thought was a preview of the show, but which turned out to be the whole of an extended episode about an inquiry into leaks.

“Three weeks ago, while in LA, I did a weak and foolish thing,” he said. “I accidentally tweeted a link to what I thought was a The Thick of It trail, but which was actually a link to a cut of the whole 60-minute inquiry episode.”

He added: “Needless to say, if I were a junior minister, I would by now have stayed in my post for another week then resigned.”
