Glasgow Science Centre to host family Halloween party

HALLOWEEN parties don’t come more family-friendly or informative than Glasgow Science Centre’s spooky soiree, on Friday 30 October.

Halloween Fright Night will see thousands of guisers of all ages take over the entire Science Centre for one night only. There will be themed workshops, games and other interactive activities on offer for attendees big and small.

Those aged eight and over can test their apocalypse survival skills with the hair-raising Zombie Run walkthrough experience, or learn more about the ‘science’ behind the zombie brain.

If your older kids prefer Harry Potter to zombies, send them off to Potions Class to make their own magical brew in a witch’s cauldron.

There will be plenty of fun, non-frightening ways to keep little ones entertained on the night too, from an Animal Magic handling session to Halloween craft sessions.

Partygoers are encouraged to attend in fancy dress, and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes during the fancy dress competition in the Science Centre’s Atrium.

Chief executive of Glasgow Science Centre, Stephen Breslin, said: “I am really looking forward to the Halloween party. Last year almost two thousand guisers from all over the country came on the night and it always has a great fun family filled atmosphere. All our staff look forward to thinking of new fun and frightening things for our guests to see and do.”
