Ice Hockey: Caps keeper banned for five matches

Edinburgh CAPITALS
netminder Tomas Hiadlovsky has been banned for five matches
after he kicked out at Hull Stingrays player-coach Sylvain Cloutier last Saturday.

The Slovakian received a match penalty following the incident. An Elite League spokesman said: “This penalty carries an automatic five-match ban. After the review by the disciplinary committee, it has been decided that the five-match ban will stand.”

Craig Holland, who played a key role in Sunday’s 4-3 overtime win over Hull at Murrayfield, is set to continue in goal when Capitals travel to Cardiff Devils in the Elite League and host Dundee CCS Stars in the Challenge Cup this weekend.
