Squash stars at Grange

INTERNATIONALISTS Helen Nicol and Douglas Kempsell are top seeds for the £500 Titan Sports Grange Squash Open running from tonight until Sunday at the Portgower Place courts.

Aberdeen’s Ms Nicol will face strong competition from Donna Cruickshank, a finalist in each of the past three years, and her Edinburgh Sports Club colleague, Kirsty Craig.

Main challengers to Kempsell are likely to be Kevin Moran, who represents Grange in the national league, Kenneth Boyle (Hamilton) and Watsonians’ Colin Grant.

There are also graded events which have entrants from Abercorn, Dean, Colinton Castle, Waverley, Tyne (Haddington) and Dalgety Bay squash clubs.
