Fly midweek for a far cheaper holiday

HOLIDAYMAKERS can save hundreds of pounds this summer by booking flights for during the week rather than the weekend, research has confirmed.

The difference between weekday and weekend flights is as much as 450 per cent, according to travelsupermarket.com, which found that a couple flying to Faro in Portugal for a short break in June would pay 308 to fly with bmibaby on a Saturday, but only 58.08 if they instead left on a Wednesday.

Similar savings are on offer to holidaymakers taking midweek flights to various destinations in Spain, with flights to Malaga 138 per cent more expensive at the weekend and those to Alicante 110 per cent more expensive.
