Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) is forecasting a £6 million boost for the local economy after securing two major clients.

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is to hold its life conference and exhibition at the venue in November, in addition to the already confirmed pensions, risk and investment conference that kicks off at the end of May.

Meanwhile, Airmic, the trade body for insurance and risk managers, has confirmed a two-year deal for its June 2020 and June 2024 conferences.

Together, the conferences are expected to contribute about £6m to the local economy, according to the EICC.
