The Grand Parade

This never fails to excite a packed Grandstand in the afternoons of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Prize-winning cattle grace the Main Ring and if you don’t know your Belted Galloways from your Belgian Blues, then take the rare chance to see many different breeds in one place.

Scotland’s Larder

Foodies can spend the whole of the show here – there is so much to enjoy.

Local producers have the very best of Scottish produce, while artisan creations from across the UK are sure to excite the tastebuds. And for 2023, the Highland bothy has been placed in the heart of Scotland’s Larder with freshly baked cakes, tea and coffee on hand for vital summer sustenance.

Show jumping

World class equine action is a big draw at the show. With so much action and so many leading riders and horses, there’s never a dull moment in the ring.

Food For Thought Cookery theatre

For the avid food lover, Food for Thought has some of the best chefs, food writers and producers preparing wonderful dishes, talking all things culinary and giving the opportunity to ask anything you want to know to make your cookery go with a bang!

Royal Highland Hoolie

This is where the show really comes to life. On the Friday and Saturday, round off your visit with an evening of music from Scottish folk to Irish country at the brand-new Royal Highland Hoolie, presented by Farmer’s Bash.

Forestry Arena

Have you got a head for heights? If not, don’t worry, you can admire amazing skill and strength as record-breaking pole climbers brave the dizzying heights in the Forestry Arena. There are also stunning bike displays, axe throwing and forestry demonstrations for all those thrill seekers.

Home & Gift Hall

The Home & Gift Hall is located on 13th Avenue, where you can choose from some truly magnificent products. Enjoy the perfect opportunity to browse well-known brands and discover new soon-to-be favourites.

Sheep shearing

This is the fastest show on earth! The skill and speed of the sheep shearers in competition is something not to be missed. Don’t miss the World Championship finals on Sunday afternoon.

The Countryside Area

Always popular, the Countryside Arenais home to our KidZone, where the little ones can learn some circus skills and get their face painted, or even ride a small digger. . Demonstrations and events showcase country sports, activities and rural skills. There’s also the Honey, Goats and lots more..

The Forge

The heat is on (literally). Competitors in the Scottish Open Farriery Championship Horse-shoeing & Shoe-making competitions provide a stunning spectacle.
