Dance review: Say SomethingSummerhall (venue 26)

Say Something wouldn’t be half so torturous if you felt that the performers really did have something to say.

RATING: *

In some ways, this is like one of the events held by postmodern dancers in 1960s New York, except they were breaking down boundaries and making a statement. All that the performers in h2dance are doing is crawling along the floor and singing the same notes ad nauseam, while we stand in the middle being herded from one place to the next.

At one point, they pass round a microphone looking for three words to describe how we feel. Had it come to me, they would have been “make it stop”.

Until 26 August
