Two-goal Weiss confident Rangers can topple Celtic

Vladimir WEISS is confident Rangers will soon be back on top of SPL table - if they can repeat their performance against Hamilton in their games in hand.

The Slovakian scored twice and won a penalty as the champions cruised to a 4-0 win yesterday, a result which sees them sit five points behind Celtic.

However, Rangers have three more games still to play and a win in each would put them back in pole position. "If we play like we did in this game, we need to start off playing like this from the first minute in every game," said Weiss, who is on loan from Manchester City.

"If we do that, we should have no problem winning the games we have in hand. We knew we had to win this game and we wanted to win it as quickly as possible."

Steven Whittaker converted the penalty, while Maurice Edu sealed the win late on.
