Squash: Kempsell begins challenge

Waverley squash prospect Dougie Kempsell begins his qualifying bid for the annual £10,000 Artemis Open at Edinburgh Sports Club tonight (6.45pm) against Northumberland professional Liam Gutcher.

Others locals in action this evening include Waverley's Yvonne Ferguson (8.15) and the host club's Senga McFie (7.30).

World No.10 Daryl Selby, recent winner of the North Vancouver Open, tops the men's seedings with Dominique Lloyd-Walter, ex-world No.18, favourite to win the women's title when the richest event on the BSPA Grand Prix circuit finishes on Sunday.
