Hibs: Your Say

HIBBIES are concerned but one fan says criticism of John Hughes is out of order.

Ken Dundas, North Werber Place: "John Hughes said prior to the St Johnstone game he would be happy with a 1-0 win and, in Saturday's performance, it was obvious when Hibs took an early lead he was satisfied we would see the game out victoriously.

"This occasionally-fractious encounter was always going to lead to an equaliser and, while Hughes admitted he got the team selection wrong at Perth, he did so again.

"High hoofs up the park by St Johnstone were awaiting collection off the second ball by a ball player. Why not bring on Zemmama and/or Benji, and take off Nish, who was having his worst day for months. He waited until the 85th minute to change the team. At this rate we will be hanging on to sixth place."

Steve McKenzie, Bellevue: "All I keep reading from people is how bad the referee was on Saturday. Yes he was very poor, but he is not to blame for us not winning. We didn't win because we were not good enough. Blaming the ref is for Celtic, not Hibs."

George Gibb: "We have lost third place and our near neighbours are creeping up the table. Ross County in the Cup soon – please don't blow it boys."

James Smith: "Yogi doesn't deserve the remarks from some Hibs fans. He has done a good job. It is down to the team."
