Hibs offer interest-free season ticket

HIBS are to offer fans the chance of a "revolutionary" interest-free ten-month repayment plan when they buy a season ticket.

And the Easter Road club revealed today that, while prices, reduced last year to 2007 levels, will rise, they'll be the same as those in operation in 2008, meaning kids will be able to watch John Hughes' side in action for less than 3 a game.

Launching the new season ticket packages today, chief executive Scott Lindsay claimed the interest-free offer, open to those who sign up before the end of April, will allow fans to make going to Easter Road part of the monthly household outgoings rather than a significant one-off annual investment. It will allow fans to spread the price of their season ticket from April to next January at no extra cost and, again, the club have pledged that every penny from this source will be invested in the team on the pitch.

Lindsay said: "We want to continue to make football as affordable as possible at Easter Road, to make it as straightforward as possible for supporters and families to be part of the Hibernian family and to attend Easter Road every single week."

Hibs also disclosed that their family pricing structure would now feature in all home stands at their ground with the new East Stand due to be completed for the early part of next season.

Currently more than 60 per cent of season ticket holders benefit from family or concession pricing, a figure which is expected to rise given this will be the first year the East Stand has been included.

Season ticket holders who recruit a new season ticket holder will receive free access to Hibernian TV for the year plus 20 worth of discount vouchers for the club store while every fan under the age of 15 will now automatically become a member of the Hibs Kids scheme on purchase of a season ticket, a move expected to see membership levels rise above 3000.
