Coyle bolsters Bolton attack with Ngog

BOLTON completed the signing of Liverpool striker David Ngog, who signed a three-year contract with Wanderers.

The 22-year-old has never been more than a bit-part player since joining the Reds from Paris St Germain in 2008 for £1.5 million.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle had been tracking the Frenchman for some time, but has only just managed to finalise the deal, for a reported £4m.

“David will be a great addition to our squad,” said Coyle.

“He is quick, can score goals and he knows what the Premier League is all about.

“Added to that there is his European experience with Liverpool in the Champions and Europa Leagues.

“He has represented his country at a host of junior levels and he will offer our team further attacking options. We are delighted to bring another quality, young prospect to Bolton.”

Gael Kakuta also joined Bolton last night on loan from Chelsea until 1 January.

The French winger follows in the footsteps of Daniel Sturridge, who had a successful loan spell at the Reebok Stadium last season.

Kakuta, 20, also spent much of last term on loan at Fulham, making seven appearances.
