Danny Wilson set to leave Hearts in the summer, Ronny Deila plans a decade of success at Celtic and Rangers could have signed Ian Rush instead of Maurice Johnston.

Danny Wilson to leave Hearts

Hearts captain Danny Wilson will leave Tynecastle this summer after activating a clause in his contract that allows him to depart the club at the end of the season for no fee.

Suspended for the forthcoming Cowdenbeath game, he will end his Hearts career by lifting the Championship trophy in front of the Hearts support after the final match of the campaign, against his former club Rangers on 2 May. (Scotsman)

Hibs lose out on Scottish Cup final

Alan Stubbs’ side lost 1 - 0 to Falkirk in the Scottish Cup semi-final despite dominating possession for much of the match before a Craig Sibbald goal in the 75th minute put the Bairns through. (Scotsman)

Ronny Deila’s 10 year plan

Celtic manager Ronny Deila says he is willing to commit his future to the Parkhead club for ten years and vowed that he would not use any future success to push for more transfer money. He said that he was focused on creating the right culture at the club, from first team to youth team, adding that success would follow. (Various)

Wage demands put Feyenoord off Guidetti

Feyenoord say they will not make an approach for Manchester City’s John Guidetti, who is currently on loan at Celtic, until he drops his wage demands.

Souness wanted Rush as Rangers first Catholic signing

Former Rangers manager Graeme Souness wanted to sign Ian Rush, when he was in Italy with Juventus, as the first Catholic to play for Rangers however Rush rejected the move adding that “he didn’t have the bottle”. Rush was on a shortlist of four players for that included Ray Houghton, Derek Stratham and eventual signing Mo Johnston. (Sun)

Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre says he wants to miss Honduras’ friendlies in the summer so that he can get a break in the summer and focus on Celtic’s European qualifying campaign. (Express)

Rangers call for card amnesty

Rangers boss Stuart McCall has called for an amnesty on yellow cards ahead of the Championship play-offs. His side have Kenny Miller and Darren McGregor both bordering on suspension and McCall has called on yellow cards to be wiped when the season ends. (Sunday Post)
