East of Scotland: Devlin treble seals semi-final spot

Whitehill Welfare reached the semi-finals of the Image Printers East of Scotland Qualifying Cup with a 3-2 win over Civil Service Strollers, thanks to a hat-trick from Daryl Devlin. Strollers' scorers were Craig Dickson and John Dunn.

Spartans also reached the semi-finals, beating Edinburgh University 3-1 after extra time. The students took the lead through Benji Antoni, but Keith McLeod equalised and Robbie Manson and Alex King scored in extra-time.

Selkirk sunk Heriot Watt University 4-3 with goals from Shaun Hardie (2), Ryan McManus and Des Sutherland. Andy Forbes, Chris Donnelly and Joe Leask replied for Heriot Watt.

In the final tie, Tynecastle beat the holders Gretna 2008 thanks to an Eddie Mearns extra-time penalty.
