Athletics: Capital trio at the double with victories

Three of Edinburgh's young sprinters have started the season well with double wins at the Scottish Young Athletes League division one at Grangemouth.

Ben Robbins (Edinburgh AC) had an under-15 double, taking the 100 metres in 11.87 seconds and the 200m in an excellent 23.56sec, which ranks him fifth in the UK so far for his age group.

A slight following wind of +1.8 metres per second for the 200m was obligingly just inside the 2.0m/s maximum for record purposes.

Kingsley Cunningham (EAC) completed an under-13 boys sprint double, winning the 100m in 12.64sec and the 200m in 27.24sec.
