Woman hurt in collision

A WOMAN was seriously injured when she was hit by a skip lorry in Edinburgh yesterday.

The 49-year-old suffered head injuries in the collision in Wolseley Place, Meadowbank, at about 11:30am. She was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where she was in a serious but stable condition last night.

The road was closed for two hours while investigations were carried out at the scene. Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to contact them on 0131 311 3131.
