Woman faces murder charge

A WOMAN appeared in court yesterday in connection with the death of a pensioner at his home.

Ann Wynne or Russell, 54, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with murder.

Lothian and Borders Police launched an investigation after 65-year-old David Greenhill died as a result of injuries sustained during an incident at his home in Niddrie Marischal Drive on Tuesday.

Wynne, of Edinburgh, made no plea or declaration, her case was continued, and she was remanded in custody.
