Swine flu jab for football fans

FOOTBALL fans heading to the World Cup in South Africa are urged to have the swine flu jab.

Anyone travelling to the southern hemisphere should have the vaccine to protect themselves as the region enters its flu season, according to the Department of Health.

Holidaymakers can also get the jab now to guard themselves against the UK flu season later this year, it said.

Last month, South African health minister Aaron Motsoaledi warned the country faced a possible health crisis if the swine flu outbreak struck during the World Cup.
