Court halts football fan's deportation

AN England football fan was yesterday given a temporary reprieve from extradition to Portugal to serve a jail term.

The European Court of Human Rights said there was no immediate prospect of Garry Mann being extradited over his alleged role in football-related violence in the Algarve during Euro 2004.
