Teenager on Malawi drive

A TEENAGER is bound for Malawi to coach children in sports for three months.

Lizzie McAdam, previously a hockey coach at George Watson's College, is looking forward to putting her coaching skills to good use as part of a volunteer teacher programme run by gap-year company Realgap.

The 18-year-old said: "I want to help with the country's problems. Added to that, there are just so many links between Malawi and Scotland that there is a sort of natural affinity."
