Student saddles up for marathon fundraising effort

A STUDENT hopes to raise hundreds of pounds to help working horses and donkeys by running the Edinburgh Marathon.

Claudia Marshall, 20, from Haddington, was keen to support the Brooke, the charity which cares for working animals and their owners in developing countries.

The History of Art student has now challenged herself to raise at least 500 by completing the event in May. She also hopes to beat the three hours seven minutes time her dad managed when he ran the race in 1986.
