Record entry numbers for 20-mile race

A RECORD number of runners competed in the Edinburgh to North Berwick road race last weekend.

More than 200 runners lined up at Portobello Promenade last Saturday before setting off on the 20-mile run.

Scottish hill runner Paul Raistrick won the race in one hour, 57 minutes and 48 seconds.

Last year the start moved to the city's Meadowbank Stadium and the finish line is now at North Berwick west beach.
