Private jet firm looks to land new HQ

A PRIVATE jet company based in the Capital is looking for a new headquarters after a period of rapid expansion.

Jetlogic was launched last year and has its main office on Edinburgh's Stanhope Place.

The firm is now scouring the city's office market for a bigger headquarters after achieving turnover of 4.5 million in its first year of trading.

The company has also opened offices in Los Angeles and New York following its successful first year, which has come despite the tough conditions facing the aviation industry.

The firm won a lot of business on the back of sporting events such as the World Cup and British Grand Prix, but also benefited from the disruption to commercial airlines caused by the volcanic ash and industrial action.

Leigh Wilson, the firm's managing director, said: "We put a lot of work into establishing ourselves as a serious new arrival in the private aviation market.

"It's about developing trust. We have built great relationships with our clients and they trust Jetlogic to get them wherever they need to be in the world quickly, efficiently and at a competitive price."

Clients include multinational corporations, sports people, the entertainment industry and private individuals, with 40 per cent of its business coming from the United States.
