Police call for stab witnesses
Police investigating the attempted murder of a shopkeeper are appealing for witnesses as the man remained in a critical condition in hospital last night.
The 48-year-old was working in Sunshine Grocers in Green Road, Paisley, when he was stabbed at about 5pm on Friday.
Strathclyde Police said a forensic investigation is continuing at the scene, with officers carrying out door-to-door inquiries.

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Duncan Sloan, leading the investigation, said: “Sunshine Grocers is a popular shop in the local community, so it is possible that someone may have either seen or heard the assault taking place.”
