Parade marks troops' return

Hundreds of 1 Scots soldiers marched through Linlithgow marking the end of their six-month tour of Afghanistan.

Onlookers lined the streets yesterday to welcome home The Royal Scots Borderers.

The centrepiece of the series of homecoming parades is a march down the Royal Mile on Saturday.

The soldiers were deployed to Helmand province in March.
