Holyrood bluster

The misgivings expressed by Professor Tom Gallagher (Letters, 9 April) at our children being brought to view First Minister's Questions at Holyrood are felt by many.

The First Minister, in particular, displays weekly the kind of bombastic, browbeating, arrogant, tribalistic behaviour that would earn an 18 rating for a video game.

He seems incapable of answering a question from an opponent without resorting to the childish point-scoring of the school bully, and this total lack of grace and statesmanship is at best embarrassing and, at worst, something not too far from sadism.

To think that this is the vision of Scottish devolution taken away by any visitor to Holyrood at FMQ is frightening.
