Can’t we get this rescue/rescued dog confusion sorted out once and for all (your report, 8 January)?

Anyone who knows our rescued mutt, Willy, will know that they’d have to wait a long time before he would ever become a rescue dog.

Indeed, he’s a rescued dog many times over, having been rescued from a rock in the middle of the River Braan, from the Leeds/Liverpool canal and various snowdrifts.

In fact, rescued dog Willy needs his own dedicated rescue dog.
