Carriage chaos

Edinburgh commuters are experiencing complete chaos because of the Commonwealth Games. The North Berwick line appears to have been stripped of carriages to use over in Glasgow.

No one from Musselburgh or Wallyford could get on the train on Monday morning and only half of those from Prestonpans could find room.

The train has been reduced from four carriages, which are normally full, to two. There was no air conditioning so the
sardines on board were well cooked by the time we got to
Edinburgh.

To add insult to injury, the train to Glasgow had four carriages and was half empty. Scotrail has a duty to look after its regular clients but is failing dismally.
