THE First Minister revealed he has opened talks with other European countries about the prospect of joining the EU in the event of a Yes vote in the referendum on Scottish independence.
The SNP insists Scotland’s won’t be kicked out after a Yes vote and have to reapply for membership.
Mr Salmond said: “We’re inside and we obviously have to negotiate our position and that requires the agreement of other European countries.”
