Officers back English force
MORE police officers from Scotland have been sent to England to help maintain an increased presence on the streets in the wake of the riots.
A convoy of vehicles left Edinburgh this week to take officers down to England to assist their English colleagues.
Earlier this month, 250 riot-trained Scottish officers were sent south as part of the countries’ mutual aid scheme.
