Man in court over murder

A MAN has appeared in court accused of murdering a teenager in Gorebridge.

Brian McHale, 20, faced the charge when he appeared from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

He was arrested following the death of Dale Bennett, 17, who died in hospital from his injuries following an incident in Gorebridge, early on Saturday morning.

McHale, of Gorebridge, made no plea or declaration and his case was continued.

Sheriff Graeme Warner remanded him in custody.
