Man charged over beating

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault on a teenage builder who lost an eye.

The 43-year-old man is set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 12 March after being arrested by police.

Victim Eddie Watt was heading home from a night out with friends when he was allegedly set upon by two men. The 19-year-old was left in a pool of his own blood near to his home in Oxgangs after the alleged incident, which took place at around 11:30pm on Friday.

Police are continuing to appeal for information to help locate a second man believed to be involved.
