Lecture to give peace a chance

AN internationally renowned academic is to give a lecture on spirituality in the Middle East at the city's headquarters.

Professor Bart McGettrick will recount his experiences and hope in promoting peace and co-existence in the region at a talk in the City Chambers.

The landmark talk forms a key part of the 4th Edinburgh International Festival of Middle Eastern Peace and Spirituality, which runs from February 7 to March 11.

Prof McGettrick is emeritus professor of education at Glasgow University. The talk, open to the general public, takes place on February 18 from 2-4pm.
