It's success on a plate for 'UK Chef's Chef' Wishart
Wishart, who is chef patron of Restaurant Martin Wishart, was honoured by his peers at the AA Hospitality Awards 2010 at London's Park Lane Hilton. Wishart, who received the award in front of an audience of more than 700 members of the hospitality industry, thanked those who voted for him, adding: "I would also like to thank all the dedicated team that works with me for their enthusiasm and support and pride in their work."
AA group area manager Giovanna Grossi added: "Martin Wishart is a dedicated, talented chef who has encouraged many with his passion and enthusiasm for cooking. Martin has done much to strengthen Scotland's position on the gastronomic map and he was the original catalyst for the now thriving eating scene in Leith".
Wishart trained under the renowned Roux brothers and Marco Pierre White.
