House fire claims lives of two people

A 77-YEAR-OLD woman left in a critical condition after a house fire has died.

The blaze broke out at Harold Cox Place in Rugby, Warwickshire, at about 2:50am on Saturday. A 77-year-old man died from its effects later that afternoon while the woman was being treated in hospital. Both pensioners had inhaled smoke.
