Fort William court staff locked in by cleaners

STAFF at Fort William Sheriff Court were reportedly left red-faced after being locked inside the building by cleaners - and not realising until lunchtime.

Cleaning staff accidentally locked the door upon leaving the building yesterday, preventing the public from getting in.

According to the Daily Record, the staff failed to realise that their doors were closed, and simply assumed that no-one needed to see them.

The office was scheduled to be open from 9am to 4:30pm for the public to pay court fines or make enquiries.
