Drug warning after break-in

POLICE are investigating a housebreaking where a number of items, including prescription medicine, were stolen.

The break-in took place at Eskside West in Musselburgh between 10.30am and 11.15am on Saturday.

Electrical goods and jewellery were stolen in the break-in, as well as medication which police said could be dangerous if taken without a prescription.

A police spokesman said: "The medication includes painkillers and sleeping tablets, and we would urge anyone who comes across these tablets not to take them, but instead get in touch with police immediately.

"Similarly, anyone who suspects they have been offered any stolen items for sale, should also get in touch."

Anyone with any information should call police on 0131-311 3131, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
