Concert date for Provost

THE Lord and Lady Provost are set to attend a special charity concert for Haiti orphans, according to organisers.

The gala concert at the Usher Hall has been scheduled to mark the 150th anniversary of Conan Doyle's birth and all proceeds will be donated to SOS Children's Villages' Haiti Orphans' Appeal.

A handmade violin carved from a tree in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's garden will be played at the concert.

The concert is being held on Saturday, 15 May, at 7:30pm.
